(He/him)
Joseph earned his master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Iona University and specializes in working with men, women, couples, families, teens, and young adults. He also provides guidance to Christian families, helping them strengthen their relationship with God.
“If you don't heal what hurt you, then you will bleed on those who didn't cut you.”
Joseph’s approach:
I use a blend of family therapy approaches and talk therapy to help my clients navigate life's challenges. Whether you're dealing with personal struggles, relationship issues, or family dynamics, my goal is to create a space where you can speak freely and feel truly understood. I believe building trust through a non-judgmental, supportive environment is key to helping you be honest and open about what's going on in your life.
Together, we'll explore how your past experiences, social influences, and personal beliefs are shaping your current challenges. By gaining a deeper understanding of these factors, you'll be able to develop practical strategies to overcome obstacles, strengthen relationships, and improve your overall mental and emotional well-being.
In today's society, it’s crucial to recognize the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA individuals and the importance of providing them with collective and communal care. They often face feelings of isolation and are at a greater risk of violence and suicide, especially among youth.
